SIZING + PRODUCT NOTES
This fabric has quite the stretch and can fit a number of sizes. It is suggested to size down if you are in between sizes. The hem also has a lettuce hem and the shirt length hits right at the middle hip. This fabric was hand-dyed at a wash house before it was cut and sewn therefore has slight variation in shade making each piece unique.
Selva Negra was founded in 2016 in a tiny Brooklyn apartment in Crown Heights. The collection represents drive, holistic energy, united empowerment, careful craftsmanship, and engineered comfort. Designers, Kristen Gonzalez and Sam Romero found an immediate connection after meeting in New York post-graduation from FIT (KG) and Parsons (SR). They unite their Annie Hall tomboy style and bold feminine identity to embody a collection that aims to support women and their individuality. Influenced by their Latina heritage, they support their collection with intentionality and strength to combine a collective of honest and mindful products made in Los Angeles, California.
Selva Negra sources our fabrics locally in Los Angeles, CA and some imported goods from Japan and Turkey. All trims are locally sourced from Los Angeles and also imported from Japan. Our collection is fully produced in Downtown Los Angeles using ethical and sustainable practices.
